Looking over the iPhone buzz today—positive & negative—reinforces something I’ve long known.

It’s not about what you do. It’s not blindly covering every feature anyone else was dumb enough to implement. It’s not about trying to invent wholly original ideas.

It’s as simple as the Cub Scout motto. It’s about doing whatever you do the best that you can.

Sure, you’ll fall short of perfection, but at least you’ll be heading in the right direction.
