Xanthûm is a fantasy RPG setting. I have no idea what system I might use with it.

The Tanir

Befoure þe Taanyr cayme too Zaanþume...

The civilization of Xanthûm is divided along racial lines. Men are commoners ruled by an aristocratic race known as the Tanir.

Tanir resemble men, but their torso is about two feet longer, and they have a second pair of arms. Most Tanir believe themselves to be innately superior to men.

Men believe that once there were no Tanir in Xanthûm. Many human legends begin with, “Before the Tanir came to Xanthûm.”

There are many stories about how the Tanir came to Xanthûm. Some say they came from across the sea. Some say they descended from the heavens in magical chariots. Some say they were created by a mad wizard named Xaxax.

Civilization

Xanthûm is a subtropical wilderness of forests and fens; home to many strange and dangerous creatures. Dotted across the landscape are the independant city-states of civilization.

Artifacts

Scattered across the lands can be found artifacts of a once great Tanir civilization.

There can be found a magical crystal known as xiamond. When combined with certain artifacts, the mystic energy of the crystal can be release to create miraculous effects.
