AbandonedSince infogami has been abandoned by its creators, I’m out too. Back to web.fisher.cx for me. Everything that was here is there. If viewing the main blog page, click the # underneath an entry to comment on it. d10 I prefer the platonic d20 to the d10. I'd like to get somed 20-siders numbered 0–9,+0–+9. But I don't want the Gamescience dice. I'd rather my dice be pretty & polished rather than unreasonably unbiased. d3 & d4 I'd like to have 6-siders numbered 1–3 twice & 8-siders numbered 1–4 twice. The key, though, is that they need some minor but noticable difference (like clipped corners) to make it easy to pick them out from among the normal d6 & d8. Like the d10/d20s, I want them to fit in & look like the rest of the dice. Hmm...maybe have them numbered both ways. A d6 might have two numbers on each face: 1/1, 2/1, 3/2, 4/2, 5/3, 6/3. “d5” I'd like some 6-siders numbers 0–5.
I've acquired two (6-sided) d3s & two 20-sided d10s (that aren't the ugly but precise Gamescience variety). I should order some 8-sided d4s so as to be pretty close to my ideal dice set. The next big question is: How many of each variety is optimal? I also acquired a 12-sider marked with zodiacal symbols. Different dice: (Which I find interesting. See Kevin Cook's site for more about dice.)
