Some thoughts for a Dungeon Squad campaign
Characters have three abilities.
Assign one of the following values to each ability. (Dice with more sides are better.)
Characters begin with 15 hp.
Characters begin with two assets. Assign one of the following values to each asset.
Possible assets include:
- Melee Weapon: Does its die in damage on a successful hit.
- Ranged Weapon: Does its die in damage at a distance, but misses if the to-hit roll is odd.
- Armor: Subtracts damage equal to a roll of its die from each attack that hits the character.
- Spell: Various effects.
The player my describe each asset as they desire.
(Unarmed attacks do d4.)
Characters may be one of the following races.
- Vanara (anthopomorphic monkeys)
- Mew (anthropomorphic cats—think Puss in Boots from Shrek)
- Small: (Attackers must roll 3+ to hit a mew?)
- Claws: When attacking unarmed, if the attack roll is even, a mew does d6 damage instead of the normal d4
- Climbing: Mew increase their Exploring die by one step when climbing.
- Always lands on his feet: (?)
- Ursan (anthropomorphic bears—think Bear in the Big Blue House)
- Large: (Attackers must roll 5+ to hit an ursan?)
- Claws: When attacking unarmed, if the attack roll is even, an ursan does d6 damage instead of the normal d4
- Tengu (anthropomorphic birds)
- Fly (Cannot fly while carrying armor? Cannot fly with more than two assets?)
- Fragile: Attackers must roll a 3+ to hit a tengu instead of the normal 4+.
